Why Breakers Trip
A breaker trips to protect your home. Usually it's because too much is running on one circuit, like a space heater and a hair dryer on the same line. It can also mean a short circuit, a ground fault or a breaker that's simply worn out. If it trips again after you reset it, that's your sign to call us.
Why Lights Flicker
One flickering light is often just a loose bulb or a dimmer that doesn't match the bulb. Flickering in several rooms, or when big appliances turn on, can point to loose wiring, an overloaded circuit or a problem with your panel or service. Those are worth having us check.

Troubleshooting FAQs
Why does my breaker keep tripping?
Usually it's too many things on one circuit. It can also be a short, a ground fault or a worn-out breaker. If resetting it doesn't hold, call us.
Is a flickering light dangerous?
One flickering bulb usually isn't. Flickering across several rooms, or when big appliances turn on, can point to a wiring or panel issue.
When is an electrical problem an emergency?
Sparks, burning smells, smoke, buzzing panels or outlets that are hot to the touch. Turn off power to that area if it's safe and call us.
Why did half my house lose power?
It can be a tripped main breaker, a problem in your panel or an issue with your service line. Call us, and if it's on the utility side, we'll let you know.
Why won't my GFCI outlet reset?
It may be worn out, or there may be a fault downstream. We'll test the circuit and fix it.
