Outlets and Switches That Work the Way You Need
It's the little things that make a home work. Enough outlets where you actually need them. Switches that turn on the right light. Outlets that hold a plug instead of letting it fall out. Simpson Electric handles everyday outlet and switch work quickly, safely and without the runaround.
No job is too small. Make a list of the little things that have been bugging you, and we'll knock them out in one visit.

GFCI and AFCI Protection
GFCI outlets protect you from shock in wet areas like kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, garages and outdoors. AFCI protection helps prevent electrical fires caused by damaged wiring. Many older homes don't have either where today's code calls for them. Adding them is one of the simplest, most affordable safety upgrades you can make.
Upgrading Two-Prong Outlets
Old two-prong outlets aren't grounded, which means less protection for you and your electronics. Swapping in a three-prong outlet without a ground isn't safe or code-compliant. We'll find the right fix for your home, whether that's running a ground or adding GFCI protection.

Outlet and Switch FAQs
Can I just swap a two-prong outlet for a three-prong one?
Not without a ground or GFCI protection. We'll find the safest fix for your home.
Why does my outlet stop working sometimes?
It may be tied to a tripped GFCI somewhere else in the house, or a loose connection. We'll track it down.
Is it worth calling an electrician for small jobs?
Yes. Save up a few and we'll handle them all in one visit.
Why is my outlet warm?
A warm outlet can mean a loose connection or an overloaded circuit. Stop using it and give us a call.
Can you add an outlet where there isn't one?
Almost always. We'll find the cleanest way to run power there.
What's the difference between GFCI and AFCI?
GFCI protects people from shock. AFCI helps prevent fires from damaged wiring. Many homes need both.
