Electrical Done Right for Your Next Project

Remodeling is exciting, and the electrical is a big part of getting it right. Where the outlets go, how the lighting feels, whether your panel can handle a new kitchen. These decisions shape how you'll live in the space for years.

Simpson Electric has wired kitchens, baths, basements and additions across Northern Colorado since 1984. We work directly with homeowners and with your contractor to keep the project on schedule and up to code.

When to Call an Electrician for Your Project

  • You're planning a kitchen or bathroom remodel

  • You're finishing a basement

  • You're adding a room, a garage or a second story

  • You're moving walls, outlets or lighting

  • Your older home needs a full or partial rewire

  • Your inspector flagged electrical issues

  • Your contractor needs a reliable electrical sub

The earlier you bring us in, the better. It's much easier to plan lighting and outlets before walls are framed or closed up.

How It Works

  1. Share your plans, even if they're rough sketches.

  2. We walk the space and talk through lighting, outlets and power needs.

  3. Get a clear quote before any work starts.

  4. Rough-in wiring while walls are open, then inspection.

  5. Trim-out and finish. Fixtures, devices and final testing, then cleanup.

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodels

Kitchens and baths need more power and more protection than any other rooms. We handle island outlets, under-cabinet lighting, appliance circuits and pendant lighting in kitchens. In bathrooms, we install GFCI protection, vanity lighting, exhaust fans and heated floors. Everything is built to current code so your remodel passes inspection the first time.

Basement Finishes and Additions

A finished basement or addition is basically a new part of your home, and it needs its own lighting, outlets and circuits. Many projects also need a subpanel so you're not overloading your main panel. We'll plan the electrical around how you'll actually use the space, whether that's a family room, bedroom, office or home gym.

Whole-Home Rewiring

Older wiring like knob-and-tube or aluminum can be unsafe and hard to insure. We rewire room by room so you can keep living in your home while we work, and we'll help you plan the project around your budget.

Remodel and Rewire FAQs

When should I bring in an electrician on a remodel?

Early. It's easier to plan lighting and outlets before walls are framed or opened up.

Do I need a permit for my remodel's electrical?

Most remodels do. We handle permits and inspections for you.

Can you rewire a house while we live in it?

Yes. We work room by room to keep things as livable as possible.

Will my panel handle my new kitchen?

New kitchens often add several circuits. We'll check your panel and let you know if it needs an upgrade.

Do you work with general contractors?

Yes. We work with homeowners directly and with contractors, and we coordinate schedules to keep things moving.

How long does a remodel's electrical take?

It depends on the project. We'll give you a timeline for rough-in and trim-out with your quote.
